COLIN TAKES A KNEE TO SELL HIS A$$
Free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been named GQ's magazine's "Citizen of the Year" for his activism.
Colin Kaepernick began kneeling instead of standing during the national anthem last season to protest racial inequality and police brutality. The demonstration sparked a wave of NFL protests by players during the anthem that repeatedly have been denounced by President Donald Trump. Kaepernick parted ways with the San Francisco 49ers in March and hasn't been signed by another team.
And do I believe that he was been a victim of collusion by NFL team owners or blackballed? Absolutely yes! And rightly so.
But Colin Kaepernick gets no sympathy or support from this U.S. military veteran. When he decided to pick this battle he should have weighed the consequences of his actions. Or at minimal, checked his bank account to see if he could withstand unemployment. So evidently, Colin Kaepernick did neither.
Yes! Countless millions, including myself, feel that Colin Kaepernick has disrespected Old Glory by going down on a knee and by just plain sitting on the bench on a couple of other occasions. That is his right. And I also have a right to criticize this liberal-minded twisted ’athlete’ because I believe he used the wrong platform.
The first time Colin Kaepernick was noticed sitting down during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner," as opposed to the tradition of standing, was the 49ers third preseason game in 2016. However, he sat during The Star-Spangled Banner of their first two games despite not dressing for play. During a post-game interview, he explained his position stating, "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that people oppresses black and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder", referencing a series of events that led to the Black Lives Matter movement and adding that he would continue to protest until he feels like "[the American flag] represents what it's supposed to represent"
What does the American flag supposed to represent? Friends, think about that most interesting question.
Let's further consider how Colin Kaepernick in the past has expressed himself, or prostituted himself out.

NFL vs Us: Disrespecting the American Flag
In the wake of the National Anthem protests, I've been inspired to create this website bearing my name, www.ezellharris.com. I first want to thank the former 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick for touching a nerve in me to not just talk about why I disagree with his protest, but to write about it.That way I just might be able to educate those who are truly interested in this former U.S. Army Military Policeman's viewpoint on the NFL's National Anthem protests.
Without question, kneeling or sitting down during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" is an act of disrespect not only to the American flag, but also to the countless men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms and liberty. End of debate.
The whole thing going on with unemployed Colin Kaepernick is a smoke screen. The real issue isn't so much that he purposefully meant to disrespect the American flag. But rather, Kaepernick needed to do something to spark a firestorm issue such as the NFL has never seen before. Kaepernick's kneeling or sitting down during the playing of "The Star-Spangled Banner" it really about challenging white supremacy, ultimate white authority, white ownership of NFL teams.
Yes! The good ole boy control of the multi-billion-dollar yearly Sports Industry is threatened when they can't control EVERY movement and thought of their slave-shackle-minded professional athletes.
The real threat is exposing the racist bastards control of professional sports by the use of the Economic Discrimination tactic of Salary Caps. The 99%-white-ownership controls and limits the wealth of black athletes while the black athletes cannot control the NFL team owners amount of endless profits.
Therefore, you ensure that black people, black athletes WILL NEVER be majority owners of professional sports teams in America.
The Real Issue Behind the National Anthem Protests
San Francisco 49ers star Colin Kaepernick was back in the spotlight. The then-25-year-old QB went after a different kind of national exposure by stripping down for the 2013 ESPN "Body Issue" fagazine. Oohs! Excuse me, I meant magazine. Kaepernick showed off his muscular, mulatto tattooed physique while posing with nothing but a football for that year's steamy magazine.
Yes! What male athlete with some decent respect about himself would show his bare ass just for some money? Not only would Colin Kaepernick prostitute himself out to the freaks over at ESPN's The Body Issue magazine, but he was more than willing to put himself in a subordinate homosexual position, willing to take more than just the knee. How disgusting. From this one act of selling out his soul and dignity, Colin Kaepernick has disrespected himself more than he can ever disrespect the American Flag. ----- Ezell Harris Jr., Disabled American Veteran, Former U.S. Army Military Policeman.
